The Renovators of SC is a full service design and build company servicing Hilton Head and the greater Bluffton area. The company started in 2016 after the owners relocated to the low country. Loving the area, they wanted to make a difference by forming a family business that was client driven. Though their back grounds were over 40 years in building custom homes, they started The Renovators of SC as a renovation and repair business. However, their reputation as a strong and dedicated builder was evident and the requests to build homes grew. So, the home building began and has only grown. The business model was changed to building new custom homes and large renovations. After much discussion about possibly changing the name, they realized The Renovators was a name that people had grown to trust, and kept the name. One of the things that sets The Renovators of SC apart is their deliberate decision to have contolled growth. By doing so, they can focus on each project and ensure customers receive the personalized attention and high-quality workmanship they deserve. This commitment to customer satisfaction is evident in the company's long-standing reputation for excellence and the fact that most of their work is from referrals.   • Our home burned on July 4, 2020 I began the difficult task of finding a builder and because there were several in my neighborhood began looking in that direction. But after sending my plans to an engineer to get approved he recommended The Renovators of SC. I'm not sure that I would have thought to call them (because of the name), but after sitting down and talking to Rick we knew that this was our builder and knew that he was an answer to our prayers. Rick, Malinda, and Carolyn are a great team and made the building process as stress free as possible. Building during Covid with the supply limitations, increased costs, and unknown delivery times has been difficult, but Rick has been diligent to stay on top of all the issues until resolved. Rick is quick to respond to my many questions and was good about keeping us posted on the schedule and changes as they occurred. Our situation was a little different due to working with insurance and others that were helping us after the fire. Rick went above and beyond to help us get all the paperwork in to get full return on our insurance coverage. We have had others come in to send reports back to the insurance company and they were very impressed with the work that Rick has done in our home. He is a man of integrity and does quality work in a timely manor. His goal is for you to be happy. We know without a doubt that we made the right choice. We have just recently moved into our new home and love it. Rick helped us to create a beautiful home that we are so proud of and feel so blessed to be able to live in. We also feel blessed to call Rick and Malinda our friends. Our neighbors have even said.."if I ever need to build or remodel I will be calling Rick".   • Home Builder- Rick and the Renovator team built a home for me over the course of a year. Rick worked with us through the entire process from design, home placement, permitting, foundation work, finishing and landscaping. This was not an easy task given that we built a home on the edge of a marsh. Rick and his team are very responsive to phone calls, questions and problems.   • Rich, Carolyn and Malinda were amazing every step of the way. I've never been through a renovation, much less from 1,000 miles away. They kept in touch with me every step of the way, sending photos to keep me informed, communicating with me whenever we hit a snag or accomplished something amazing.
