Everyone we know told us horror stories about building a home, so we were very hesitant to build especially from over 1,000 miles away. We did our due diligence in finding a builder and we found The Renovators of SC. We are so happy we did! From the moment we had our first meeting, Rick and Malinda made us feel like family. The whole team of Rick, Malinda, Elizabeth and Brad were always communicating with us and always returned every email and call very quickly. Going in to the project we thought we would have to visit and check on the house multiple times but we only came 1 time during the building process. This is how comfortable we felt with the team. They sent pictures to us and communicated consistently so we new everything that was going on during the entire process. We came in to town to close on our new home and wanted to stay in the house after closing. They knew we weren’t going to have furniture yet so they were so kind to have a mattress, sheets, bath towels and all the things for us to stay for a few nights until our furniture came in. This is how much they care and are looking out for the best needs of the client. They go above and beyond! We would highly recommend to anyone to build with The Renovators of SC. The quality of our new home is unbelievable. They do not cut corners and it looks fabulous!

We had a space issue and knew immediately who could help us with our problems. Renovators Sc gave us a spacious sitting room, office space off our bedroom, along with a custom-built walk-in closet. (The dream of every woman), Along with two screened in porches, by transforming a large open porch on our upper level. Our home burned on July 4, 2020 I began the difficult task of finding a builder and because there were several in my neighborhood began looking in that direction. But after sending my plans to an engineer to get approved he recommended The Renovators of SC. I'm not sure that I would have thought to call them (because of the name), but after sitting down and talking to Rick we knew that this was our builder and knew that he was an answer to our prayers. Rick, Malinda, and Carolyn are a great team and made the building process as stress free as possible. Building during Covid with the supply limitations, increased costs, and unknown delivery times has been difficult, but Rick has been diligent to stay on top of all the issues until resolved. Rick is quick to respond to my many questions and was good about keeping us posted on the schedule and changes as they occurred. Our situation was a little different due to working with insurance and others that were helping us after the fire. Rick went above and beyond to help us get all the paperwork in to get full return on our insurance coverage. We have had others come in to send reports back to the insurance company and they were very impressed with the work that Rick has done in our home. He is a man of integrity and does quality work in a timely manner. His goal is for you to be happy. We know without a doubt that we made the right choice. We have just recently moved into our new home and love it. Rick helped us to create a beautiful home that we are so proud of and feel so blessed to be able to live in. We also feel blessed to call Rick and Malinda our friends. Our neighbors have even said."if I ever need to build or remodel, I will be calling Rick". Home Builder- Rick and the Renovator team built a home for me over the course of a year. Rick worked with us through the entire process from design, home placement, permitting, foundation work, finishing and landscaping. This was not an easy task given that we built a home on the edge of a marsh. Rick and his team are very responsive to phone calls, questions and problems. Rich, Carolyn and Malinda were amazing every step of the way. I've never been through a renovation, much less from 1,000 miles away. They kept in touch with me every step of the way, sending photos to keep me informed, communicating with me whenever we hit a snag or accomplished something amazing. They completely transformed our property and were lovely the entire time. I cannot recommend them enough.

We Love our home! Looking for a home builder is difficult! After identifying the land for our new home, we met with several recommended builders, all who said they could build us the perfect custom home. Not being a novice to the home construction process, when we visited their building sites, we notice construction flaws. Then we met Rick! We initially saw his sign and workers repairing a home damaged by Hurricane Mathew. One of his workers gave us a business card, we made a call, and scheduled an appointment. Our first meeting was held at the home The Renovators were repairing. The owner of the home joined us outside and excitedly explained how she met Rick and how impressed and pleased she was with his work. She invited us in to give us a tour of her home, showing us pictures of the original damage. Our first meeting lasted over two hours, Rick asked many questions, took pages of notes, and drove with us to visit the potential home site. From his notes, Rick designed the Low Country home of our dreams, while keeping us within budget. We met several times to discuss the design, it was clear, before we signed the contract, we had developed a trusting partnership, with not only Rick, but all the employees of the Renovators. Our home is beautiful! When you walk in, there is a sense of welcoming peace. Our home is well built using quality materials. The Renovators employs highly skilled craftsmen. When we had questions, the workers were extremely helpful and clear in their explanations. They were engaging and always professional. We love our home! When we decided to do a major addition to our screened porch and add a storage closet off our bedroom, our top priority was getting a top-quality job. We invited three companies to give proposals and estimates. Even before getting the proposals and estimates, we knew we were likely to go with Renovators because Rick was much more detailed during his visit than the other two. He asked good questions and make good suggestions. His proposal was comprehensive and specific. The quality of what he proposed was what really sold us on Rick. The construction quality and attention to detail was excellent. Early in the construction, the crew encountered an unusual construction aspect in our original roofline that made it very difficult to achieve the look Rick had envisioned, but he and the construction foreman spent the time necessary to determine how to do this the right way rather than the quick way. A few days after paying the final bill to Renovators, we discovered that the wrong type of gutter guards had been installed. This was not a simple fix and involved replacing some existing gutter guards so that everything would match. Rick followed through to ensure that everything was done properly. The final result was that our addition looks as if it were part of the original construction. We couldn't be more pleased. If you value quality and integrity you should choose Rick Dietrich to do your job.
